BTCC Oulton Park

Last weekends British Touring Car Championship at Oulton Park meeting was the half way point in the 2025 season. Scott Grant went along to the Cheshire track to capture the tin top action for this PistonClick report.

The highlights of the meeting were Tom Ingram and Ash Sutton, the main title contenders, each won a race. Gordon Shedden claimed victory in the finale. Shedden hasn’t won a race since 2022 this victory made him the tenth different race winner this season.

Despite the intense competition, Sutton still leads the Drivers’ standings by ten points from Ingram. Chris Smiley with the Restart Racing Hyundai team headed the Independents. WSR BMW’s Daryl DeLeon led the Jack Sears Trophy. A Championship for drivers who have not stood on a British Touring Car Championship podium.
