London E-Prix 2025 Map

What a weekend. The 2025 ABB FIA Formula E Championship wrapped up in true style with a double-header at the ExCeL for the London E-Prix 2025. From Cassidy’s incredible fightback to McLaren’s farewell, and Barnard continuing to prove why he’s one of the most exciting names right now — this weekend had it all.

Saturday Quali: Jaguar Set the Pace

Saturday started with Mitch Evans putting down a mega lap in quali, grabbing pole just ahead of Nyck de Vries. Big names like Rowland and Nato didn’t make it through, while Vandoorne and Hughes surprised a few in Group B.

Sunday came, and Nick Cassidy made his move — locking in a front row and looking confident for his final race weekend with Jaguar.

Race One: Cassidy Gets It Done, Porsche Clinch Titles

Cassidy executed a proper clinical drive to take the win. Evans had crossed the line second but got a penalty dropping him down to fifth, which bumped #21 De Vries to P2 and Buemi onto the podium. Da Costa made a big statement too, coming from the back to P6 — solid drive.

That result locked up both the Teams’ and Manufacturers’ Championships for TAG Heuer Porsche. Not flashy, but super consistent all season.

Race Two: Cassidy Signs Off in Style

On Sunday, Cassidy delivered one of the most dominant drives of the year — leading from start to finish and winning by over 13 seconds. Behind him though, drama. Evans wasn’t happy about team orders that left him unprotected while Cassidy chased fastest lap. Some tension there, but Jaguar still left London looking strong.

Cassidy’s Comeback: From 48 Points Behind to Title Contender

Let’s talk about Cassidy. After Monaco, he was 48 points behind Rowland. Everyone had pretty much written him off. But then:

  • He got podiums in Jakarta.
  • Took a win and more solid points in Rome.
  • Then took home a perfect 50 in London

He didn’t take the title in the end, but that comeback was wild. From nearly out of the conversation to finishing just 28 points behind.

Rowland Crowned Champion, Nismo Unveils Teal Tribute

While Cassidy stole the headlines on track, it was Oliver Rowland who officially sealed the 2025 Formula E Drivers’ World Championship in London. After a season built on relentless consistency and smart racecraft, Rowland’s 11th-place finish on Sunday was enough to hold off late charges from Wehrlein and Cassidy. The podium ceremony saw the Yorkshireman lifted high, champagne flying, as Nissan celebrated their first drivers’ title since the Gen2 era.

To mark the occasion, the Nissan Formula E Team ran a striking teal blue edition of their cherry blossom livery, inspired by the launch of the new UK-built Nissan LEAF. It was a fitting tribute — blending heritage, innovation, and Rowland’s crowning moment in front of a home crowd.

McLaren’s Goodbye: A Quiet Exit

McLaren bowed out of Formula E with a tough weekend. Double DNFs — Barnard had contact early on, and Bird retired too. After announcing their exit in April and not finding a buyer, this was their final weekend. Sad way to go out, but that’s racing.

Silly Season Incoming

Taylor Barnard’s season has been huge — two poles, five podiums, and a new deal with DS Penske that looks set to replace Vandoorne. Cassidy’s heading to Citroën’s new FE project under Stellantis, taking Vergne’s seat most likely. That could mean JEV moves over to MSG Racing.

Also confirmed — Nico Müller joining Andretti alongside Jake Dennis. And Vandoorne stepping away as teams get ready for Gen4.

Barnard Is the Real Deal

The way Barnard’s stepped up this year is nothing short of impressive. From a reserve to one of the most consistent front-runners, he’s proven he belongs at the sharp end. He’s only just getting started.

Citroën’s Arrival in 2026

Looks like Citroën’s set to enter FE in 2026 by taking over the Maserati MSG entry. Big move from Stellantis as they double down on electric motorsport — and now DS and Citroën will go head-to-head under the same umbrella.

London — What a Finale

Everything about this weekend felt big. Cassidy going out with a bang, Barnard cementing his status, McLaren saying goodbye, and the paddock already buzzing about the Gen4 future. London might’ve marked the end of Season 11, but it also gave us a serious preview of what’s coming next…
