BSB Donington Park
Round 8
9 September 2025

Coming into BSB Donington Park, round 8 of the 11 Championship meetings, Kyle Ryde was sitting at the top of the leaderboard by a slim two points from Bradley Ray. Due to a BSB race being cancelled at Oulton Park after the tragic accident involving Owen Jenner and Shane Richardson in the Supersport race, an extra race was added to the Donington timetable.

Ryde and Ray would have four, twelve-lap sprint races to gather as many points as possible before the next round at Assen. Could any of the chasers take points from them both?

BSB Donington Park Race 1
Starting on pole after posting a time under the BSB Donington Park lap record of 1:26.781, Redding was looking strong for race one. Redding duly delivered, taking his second win from the first of four races over the weekend. Ryde was second, extending his advantage to 11 Championship points over Bradley Ray, who finished in ninth place.

Rory Skinner emerged on top in the battle for third for the Cheshire Mouldings Ducati; he fought a race-long tussle with a determined Danny Kent and Andrew Irwin. Kent, the McAMS Racing Yamaha rider, held fourth from Andrew Irwin, as Glenn Irwin had his best result with the Nitrous Competitions Racing Yamaha team in sixth place.

The race ended early with a red flag after ten of the twelve laps were completed. John McPhee, on the #17 MasterMac Honda sprung a leak, releasing fluids onto the track, losing traction. McPhee crashed out at Redgate.
