Ryde Dominates Season Opener
The opening round of the 2026 British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park delivered a clear early statement from Kyle Ryde, who secured a hat-trick of victories across the weekend.

BSB Oulton Park Round 1 Qualifying
The opening qualifying session saw a tight battle between Ryde and Bradley Ray. The pair traded fastest laps throughout, but Ryde edged ahead in the closing moments to claim pole position by just 0.127s.

Leon Haslam secured a late front-row spot, while Scott Redding—after an early benchmark—slipped to sixth following a dramatic save mid-session.

BSB Oulton Park Race 1 & Race 2: Ryde Takes Control
Race 1 saw Ray launch into the lead, but Haslam briefly took control before Ryde surged forward on lap four. From there, the reigning champion managed the race, while Haslam and Ray battled hard behind him.

Haslam held off Ray for second, with Storm Stacey narrowly missing the podium. Redding secured fifth after a late move.

Race 2 followed a similar script. Max Cook impressed with a strong start to lead early, but Ryde quickly moved through the field to take control. Once ahead, he never looked back. Haslam again resisted pressure from Ray to secure second, while Redding improved to fourth.

BSB Oulton Park Race 3: Hat-Trick Seals Perfect Weekend
Race 3 delivered the most intense fight of the weekend. Ray again made a strong старт, but Haslam and Ryde soon joined the battle at the front. Redding briefly moved into podium contention, but Ryde surged forward with decisive overtakes before passing Haslam for the lead. Despite a late counter from Haslam, Ryde responded immediately to reclaim first and secure a clean sweep of victories.




Behind them, Glenn Irwin recovered from a difficult weekend to finish fifth, while consistency from #11 Skinner and #30 Cook kept them inside the top eight.

Ryde leaves Oulton Park with maximum points and early championship momentum, while Haslam and Ray emerge as his closest challengers. The battle continues at the the next round which is at Donington Park 15-17 May.
